And Time Goes By

I've heard every parent say it, "they grow up way too fast". And I found myself saying it as I watched and helped my husband convert my girls' cribs to toddler beds. It was sort of surreal to think that they are old enough to be in 'big' beds. We could have waited a while longer since they weren't jumping out of the cribs yet. But they are always so excited to jump in our bed and pretend to sleep, snuggling under the covers. And in another couple months we hope they'll be ready to start potty training, so this was an important step to take. The one photo is of the girls when we laid them in a crib for the first time. And now their beds look so grown up! Treasure the moments.

"My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Beach, O' Beach, Where Art Thou

Summer is ending and our family missed out on the beach. For the last 6 years we've been blessed with a free place to stay. This year it was sold, so we didn't make it out there. But there is no need to miss out on some of the fun. This girls played in the little pool this weekend, which will likely be the last time for the year. And I made them 'Sand' for dessert. A white version of 'Dirt'!

The pudding layer is pumpkin pudding, and then ground Golden Oreos, a half cookie and some Reddi Whip to top it off. It was a hit!

Revelations 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,
“who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
